Mackley Industrial Estate’s Low Environmental Impact Maintained

The planning committee at Horsham District Council have unanimously rejected the planning application for a gypsum recycling plant on the Industrial Estate on an area not within the freehold of the Estate. Representatives from the Small Dole Action Group and the Industrial Estate joined forces to address the meeting. It was considered that this type of industry was totally inappropriate for the Estate where all the existing businesses are of a type with a negligible environmental impact.

Mackley Industrial Estate are proud to have worked closely with the local community in this campaign to keep the Estate and Business Park’s impact on the environment to a minimum.

Tottington Woodlanders provide upkeep for the pond

The Tottington Woodlanders have taken on the challenge of keeping the balancing pond adjacent to the Mackley playing field clear of vegetation and willow from around the perimeter of the pond. The Woodlanders have been using volunteers of all ages to assist with this task. Well done to all.
