Small Dole Summer Show – 70 years and still going strong

Wednesday, August 13th, 2014

Saturday 16th August will see the 70th Small Dole Summer Show.

Run by a hard working band of experienced members of the Small Dole Horticultural Society this show is the epitome of traditional, enjoyable village events.

Last years event was well attended, profitable and above all fun. The marquee was resplendent with exhibits and prize winning entries to the various categories of competition for the show  – “Odd shaped vegetable” is well worth a look and I know there will be some show-stopping work in the “Themed 1940’s picnic for two”

The Patcham Silver Band provide a wonderful musical back drop to the day’s events and with stall holders, amusements, charity exhibits and the all-important dog show there really is something for everyone.

Entry to the display marquee is 50p for adults (children go free) and the show opens between 1.30 and 5pm.

Fingers crossed for great weather but even if it rains its a wonderful way to spend the day.
