Downslink Challenge

May 10th is a day to save as it heralds the 2014 Downslink Challenge.

In its 9th year, this event has raised over £50,000 for the Chestnut Tree House Hospice (the only children’s hospice in Sussex).

Walkers, runners and riders are welcome to register to participate and families are most welcome. Entrants can choose the distance that suits them best with helpful marshalls at the 2.5mile, 5mile, 10 mile and 15 mile marker points. Some intrepid bikers will do the full 30 miles, some families just enjoy a walk of a few miles and then head back to Bramber castle for a picnic and cake. Either way, the event is usually blessed with wonderful weather and a great atmosphere.

All of the proceeds from the day go straight to Chestnut Tree House as the entire event is run by volunteers and generous sponsors. This years main sponsor is Thomas Eggar, who also plan to encourage their staff to join in the fun.
